Mohammad Islam
Hi, my name is Matt Islam. Currently I am a freshman at Chapman University, and an alumni from St. Francis High school. During my tenure at St. Francis I was able to take advantage of leadership opportunities in fields such as mass media, sports medicine, yearbook, student council and as a captain for the Golden Knight Lacrosse team. Not only were my four years of schooling educational but they gave me the Franciscan insight, on the idea of life and how we should live for others. "Living for others" this quote inspired me to devote over 300 hours to volunteer work at Huntington Hospital, Midnight Mission and the St. Parish giving. The parish giving was a program dedicated to raising money for the St. Laurence of Brindisi parish located on Compton ave. in Los Angles. Giving in any form is a necessity allowing us to be part of a society, and it is giving that keeps us human.
